Computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, as part of their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the internet communication protocols. This information is not gathered in order to be associated with identified individuals, but, due its very nature and through processing and association with data held by third parties, it could identify the user. This cathegory of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users connecting to the website, addresses in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation of the resources requested, the time of request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in reply, the numerical code indicating the response status provided by the server (successful, error, …) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and computer environment. These data are used only to obtain anonymous statistical information on site usage and to check its correct functioning and the data are deleted immediately after processing. The data may be used to assign resposibility in case of hypothetical computer crime resulting in damage to the site.

Cookies are strings of text sent by the software that manages the website to the user/visitor’s personal computer. A cookie may contain such information as the user ID, used by the website to check on pages visited, but the only information of personal nature that a cookie can contain is that provided by users themselves: in any case it must be emphasised that no personal user data is acquired by the website and cookies are never used to transmit information of personal nature, nor are persistent cookies used nor any type of other systems for tracing users. Session variables (whose values are not permanently stored in the hard disk of the user’s device and which are deleted when the browser is closed) are strictly limited to transmitting session identifiers (which consist of random numbers generated by the server) and software usage data necessary to enable a safe and efficient exploration of the site: session variables (known as cookies) can avoid the need to use IT techniques potentially prejudicial for the confidentiality of navigation of users and they do not allow users’ personal identification data to be acquired.

This site uses a session cookie for the purpose of memorising data for a temporary period that expires 30 minutes after navigation ceases. This site is also registered with Google Analytics for the sole purpose of gathering statistical navigation data. All the data collected are anonymous and are not used for any other purposes. If the site is the subject of promotional and web marketing activities, the additional cookies are related to the circuit used for these activities (i.e. Google Adwords) but profiling cookies are not used in any way. Finally, if buttons or "social" modules are activated on the site, any additional cookies are those of the respective channels.
