The beauty of our face is the result of a combination of anatomical subunits that have different tissue structures and anatomy-physiology, which must be respected when undergoing medical-aesthetic treatments to achieve harmonious and natural results. Aging processes also affect different areas of the face in various ways. The latest-generation hyaluronic acids, therefore, allow for different outcomes depending on their form, concentration, crosslinking, and the type of bond between the molecules, restoring what aging has altered.

For example, to correct barcode wrinkles, a filler with high stretchability and great tissue integration capacity can be used. This can be done with the “blanching technique,” which allows for a very superficial intradermal injection of hyaluronic acid in micro-papules (with a temporary skin whitening effect, hence the name) to smooth out dynamic perioral wrinkles, without creating excess volume or irregularities.

For the periocular area, specifically for dark circles and tear trough (nasojugal groove) correction, a low hygroscopic filler is used (to prevent edema in such a thin and delicate skin area), enriched with a dermo-structuring complex. A minimal correction is often performed with the use of a microcannula to avoid vascular complications.

To achieve extremely natural results in lip reshaping, dynamic fillers are used. These allow the lips to maintain their expressiveness and harmony even during movement, such as when we speak, smile, or kiss.

To restore the adipose compartments of the middle third of the face, which serve as the framework for the overlying tissues and are depleted during aging, a multilayer technique is used. First, a more projecting and structural hyaluronic acid is injected deeply at the subperiosteal level, where the static deep adipose compartments are located (similar to rebuilding a building’s foundation during renovation). Then, a more superficial correction is made with a dynamic filler that restores the superficial adipose compartments, which are mobile and need to retain the natural look of the face during facial expression movements.

Often, these two techniques are combined in a single session with one access point for half the face, using a microcannula. This makes the treatment more comfortable for the patient, reduces the possibility of complications, and minimizes downtime (recovery time).

For mandibular contouring and cheekbone reshaping, more concentrated fillers are used to recreate the youthful shapes that are lost over time, enhancing the oval and roundness of the face in women or emphasizing the angularity of male faces, which often feature more pronounced edges and angles.

For non-surgical chin augmentation (mentoplasty), hyaluronic acid can be implanted deeply, using a single bolus technique for women (who have a narrower and less projected chin) and two boluses for men to widen and enhance the chin area.

Finally, for the more superficial layers of the face, hyaluronic acid enriched with amino acids, vitamins, and antioxidants can be used intradermally to create skin biorenewal through fibroblast stimulation, restructuring the dermal matrix, and providing tissue hydration. This offers not only a therapeutic effect but also a preventive one against skin aging, in line with the innovative concept of “pre-juvenation.”

Cosmeceuticals and enhanced supplements create synergy with hyaluronic acid fillers.

HA-Plast: Formulas that plump the skin by stimulating dermal hyaluronic acid.
MyCli HA-Plast Serum is a fluid treatment with a high content of hyaluronic acid precursors that provides dermal volumizing effects. Its formula boosts endogenous hyaluronic acid production, adding plasticity and volume to the skin. It also enhances fibroblast activity, improves the organization of substances in the extracellular matrix, and promotes skin hydration for elastic, soft, visibly firmer, and plumped skin. Micromolecular technology based on specialized silanol, glycogen, and tripeptide that stimulates endogenous hyaluronic acid production.

Suplus h24 is MyCli’s new line of dietary supplements that combines the most effective raw materials for managing aging-related phenomena, with an approach based on the principles of chronobiology. Hya-Refill is a dietary supplement that provides hyaluronic acid and its essential precursors. Hyaluronic acid contributes to maintaining naturally toned skin.
